Vera Krischik
Vera Krischik is a University of Minnesota Professor and Extension Specialist in Integrated Pest Management. She has 34 years of experience in pest control research in settings ranging from lawns to large restorations, with a focus on reducing non-target impacts on pollinators and beneficial biocontrol insects. Her lab has been requested to provide guidance on ecologically sensitive pesticide practices for the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and several national committees.

Her lab is also collaborating with other researchers to improve techniques around maintaining long-term jumping worm colonies for research purposes.
Krischik is a remarkable community builder, skilled at bringing together communities to share ideas and research updates. She also publishes regular research-backed guidance and provides training on pesticide management to the public.
In her spare time, Vera takes care of eight aged (+20 years old) parrots and a rescue family of five siamese cats.
